After Georgia cops arrived to find a 19-year-old woman fatally shot in the face in an apartment bedroom after midnight over the weekend, her boyfriend allegedly offered authorities an explanation — not to say he didn’t do it, but that he didn’t mean to.
That is the account of the Albany Police Department in the murder case against 21-year-old J’Shon Davyen Price in the death of Eboni Nicole Hood at the Shoreham Apartments complex, where the accused and the deceased lived together.
Cops did not say how they learned of the shooting, but they did say they responded at approximately 12:11 a.m. on Saturday and found Hood “deceased inside the bedroom of her upstairs apartment from a gunshot wound to the face.”

Price, at the scene, “stated that he accidentally shot his girlfriend,” cops said. While authorities did not get into specifics, but indicated that “interviews conducted” by investigators and evidence led to his arrest and a three charges.
Dougherty County Jail records reviewed by Law&Crime show that Price has been in custody for two days and stands accused of murder, aggravated assault – family violence, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
It’s unclear if he has an attorney at this time.

WALB reported a statement from the management group at the apartment complex, saying that the group was “deeply saddened by the recent events” and calling the shooting an “isolated event” that was “not related to gang activity.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families involved, and we understand that such events can be distressing,” the VRG Management statement reportedly said.
